Jeff Salzer found himself working as a lighting technician for Sports Illustrated right around the time most kids were working on keg stands. He took to the task with gusto, developing not only an abiding sense of light and composition, but a love of work and sweat. Realizing one day that his apprenticeship was complete, Jeff marched forward into a world where the only shooter he assisted was himself, amassing an enviable body of work for numerous clients across numerous categories. Whether it's his Midwestern roots or his gluten-free diet, Jeff approaches each job sans ego. Which leaves a lot more room for absolutely killer images.
